As National Contact Point, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, Mahmoud is responsible for promoting the European Funding programme ‘Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions’ in Tunisia, which has the objective of developing new knowledge and enhancing the skills of the people behind research and innovation.  Mahmoud holds a B.Sc. in Biology and a PhD in Bioengineering awarded by National School of Engineers of Sfax and University of Bordeaux. Before being recruited as Assistant Professor in the Center of Biotechnology of Borj-Cedria, he spent several years as an internationally mobile researcher, working in high-profile System biology technology research groups at the Washington State University in the USA.
